While the AIDG has numerous volunteers who help with our projects there is a core team of dedicated supporters who comprise AIDG's primary management team. These people are:

Peter Haas, Founder, Executive Director
		Peter Haas received a B.A. in 1998 from Yale University in philosophy and psychology. Before founding AIDG he worked both in the information technology field as a consultant in network provisioning, telecom wiring, RF and wireless consulting, and programming, and on an organic farm / horse ranch doing infrastructure improvement work. He has experience in water systems, electrical systems, electronic systems, masonry, plumbing, drainage, erosion control, irrigation, welding, metal casting, carpentry and sustainable building.
Cat Lainé, Deputy Director
		Catherine Lainé received her B.A. from Swarthmore College in Biology. After spending a year and a half as an academic visitor at the Wellcome Trust Center For the Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases at Oxford University, she began her studies at Harvard School of Public Health in Infectious Disease Epidemiology. She is currently a PhD candidate and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute PreDoctoral Fellow. She is fluent in French and proficient in Haitian Creole and Spanish.
Steve Crowe, Guatemalan Program Manager
		Steve Crowe graduated from Gannon University in Erie, PA with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Systems design in 2004. Prior to joining AIDG he ran a private consultancy on mid-scale photovoltaic systems and worked in facilities engineering for Rocket Systems Inc. He lives with his lovely wife, Waleska, in Xela a short commute from Xelateco.
Elizabeth Myre, Haiti Program Manager
		Elizabeth Myre received her M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Her international engineering experience includes Engineers Without Borders projects in Guatemala and Bolivia, and an internship with UNICEF India. Her B.A. is from Ohio State University, where she studied Linguistics, German, Russian, and International Economic Development. After serving in volunteer positions ranging from disaster relief to refugee mental health issues, Elizabeth views all engineering projects through a multi-disciplinary lens.
Laura Patterson, Development Associate
		Laura is a junior at Tufts University majoring in Sociology with a minor in Communications and Media Studies. She is involved in many groups on campus, including the Oxfam Café and Concert Board. This past summer, she interned with New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity helping families navigate the process of first time home ownership.
