Results of Water purity testing (Cap-Haitien)
by Catherine LaineAugust 23rd, 2006

The D-lab is also currently testing out low cost water-testing kits. Here are the results of some tests they did of water sampled from different locales in Cap Haitien. Boiled water, water from a platypus and SODIS bags were free from E. coli and fecal coliforms. One of the local water pumps was also bug free (hurray!). Unfortunately, water from a pipe in town was severely contaminated (top middle). The blue spots are E. coli and the red are fecal coliforms.
The AIDG is hoping to bring some of these kits to Guatemala to test different water purification systems being developed at XelaTeco.

i wonder how many people realizes that the drinking water that they are drinking are poisoned and contaminated?
the news are saying there is a contamination and some drugs present to the water but so far i haven’t heard any news about people complaining about this.
it seems to me that people are too dumb now from drinking the contaminated water.
