Do you want to bring the issues of climate change,
renewable energy and international development to life in your classroom?
AIDG's School Speakers Program can help!
Through our School Speakers Program, we work with local schools
to teach youth about global warming, renewable energy and international
development. Our trained staff and volunteers deliver dynamic interactive
presentations suitable for assemblies or other large groups and workshops for
smaller groups and classes (30 minutes to one hour).
Sessions draw on AIDG's experience with developing renewable
energy systems in Guatemala and Haiti, and are geared towards high school
juniors and seniors. Talks can cover a range of themes including:
- What
is AIDG?
- Climate
Change
- Renewable
Energy/ Energy Conservation
- International
Development
- Global
Poverty
As part of our education program, we are committed to
teaching students about energy use, the current state of the world's
environment and our global interconnectedness. Raising awareness is an
important first step to getting students to take action.
Cost
The school will be charged $50 for a School Speaker session.
The fee covers the cost of running the program.
