Jose Alfredo Ordonez

  José was born and currently lives in Cantel. He graduated with a degree in electronics from the Instituto Técnico Industrial and has completed extensive coursework in household electricity installation at the Center of Capacitation San Juan Bosco and in industrial electricity installation at Intecap. He worked in the electronics field for one year each at Electrónica Columbia and Telstar. He now works at a small workshop in his home. His goal is to complete his university degree in industrial engineering. His primary interest is the manufacture of environmentally friendly technologies. He is 25 years old and speaks Quiché. 

Maria Natalia Poz

Natalia was born in Quetzaltenango and lives currently in Cantel. She is in her final year of studying drafting at the Instituto Técnico Industrial. She has experience in mechanics, which she learned from her father, as well as experience operating industrial machinery. She would like to go to university to study architecture and own her own business in the future. She is 22 years old.

Cándido Ichel

Cándido was born and currently lives in Olintepeque. He completed six months of study at the Taller Agotón Boj, where he began learning how to cut, drill and solder metals. He worked in plumbing for six months, and making chocolate for two years. His goal is to become an iron-worker. He enjoys playing soccer, running, and playing video games. He is 18 years old. He understands Quiché.

Manuela Maricela Chan Saquic

Maricela lives in San Felipe Xejuyup, Totonicapan. She graduated with a degree in design from the Instituto Técnico Industrial.  She works in installation and promotion of XelaTeco products and enjoys her role in protecting the environment.  She is 21 and will study engineering in the University.

Pedro Julio Gonon Jocol

Pedro lives in the municipal of La Esperanza, Quetzaltenango.  He graduated from the Instituto Tecnico Industrial with a degree in mechanics.  He has experience in welding and is very interested in working with appropriate technology.  He is 18 and would like to study engineering and agronomy at the University.
