XelaTeco Saves Community Thousands in Electricity Bills
XelaTeco just completed its 2nd micro-hydroelectric installation in Guatemala. The 75KW system which serves 110 families in La Fe and Chantel needed to be completely reconditioned due to damage sustained in Hurricane Stan in October 2005.
XelaTeco got the system back online in time for the coffee-producing communities to process their summer harvest, saving them at least $4000 in electricity and diesel bill for this season. Continue.
